WELCOME
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We are pleased to announce the 18th edition of our onychology course that will take place in Brussels on October 17-18, 2025.
You will find below the program that we have prepared for you. The main topic will be “Nail Tumours”.
This year, we will have the pleasure of welcoming Dr Juan Jimenez (Madrid, Spain),who will talk about nail tumors in children and elderly.
We also have the immense pleasure of welcoming Dr Andrea Sechi (Milan, Italy), who will describe an afternoon of consultation in nail pathology in his practice, and talk to us about inflammatory nail pathologies in children.
As usual, half a day will be dedicated to the retransmission of nail surgery, live from the operating room.
Modules of various levels (elementary, advanced and all levels) are spread over the two days. You will have the possibility to make an “à la carte” selection.
Make sure to pay for your registration in time, as registration will close on Tuesday October 14th at noon (CEST).
European and Belgian accreditations have been requested.
We are already looking forward to seeing you in person on October 17-18!
Best regards,
Bertrand RICHERT

History
The inter-academic courses of onychology were created in order to meet the need of dermatologists interested in advancing their clinical and/ or surgical skills in nail pathology.
The three founding Members are passionate about onychology and teaching: Josette André, Nadine Lateur and Bertrand Richert.
Since 2008, there have been bi-annual courses (one in English, one in French) offered over two days (Friday and Saturday).
Friday morning is dedicated to nail physiology and basic nail pathology. This session is aimed at introducing the novice to basic concepts in nail diseases.
Friday afternoon is devoted to nail surgery on a large screen, live from the operating room. The audience may at any time intervene and ask questions to the surgeon or even to the patient.
Saturday is devoted to expert lectures delivered by a new speaker each year. Part of the day is reserved for interactive discussions by the experts and participants encouraged to bring their own cases.
